Trusted Buyer Report is committed to ensuring that our website is accessible to people with disabilities. Accessibility is not a compliance checkbox for us — it reflects our core belief that every shopper deserves equal access to honest, independent research.
We are working to make trustedbuyerreport.com conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with disabilities, including those who use screen readers, keyboard-only navigation, voice input, or magnification software.
This statement was last reviewed by our editorial team on May 1, 2026. We update it whenever we make significant changes to the site.
Our accessibility work is guided by the following international standards:
- WCAG 2.1 Level AA — published by the W3C, this is the internationally recognised benchmark for web accessibility. Our ongoing target is full Level AA conformance.
- Section 508 — US federal standard for accessible electronic information technology.
- ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) — DOJ guidance extends ADA obligations to websites serving the US public.
- EN 301 549 — European standard for ICT accessibility, relevant for our EU readers.

Site-specific patterns
- The search bar in the header is reachable via Tab. Results can be navigated with Arrow keys and selected with Enter. Esc closes the dropdown.
- Navigation dropdowns open on Enter or Space and close on Esc. All items within are Tab-navigable.
- FAQ accordions use the native details element — fully keyboard accessible by default.
- Score and rating components include ARIA labels with numeric values so keyboard-only and screen reader users receive the same information as visual users.
We test our site with the following assistive technologies. "Full support" means all content and functionality is accessible. "Partial" means core content is accessible with minor limitations noted in Known Issues.
We maintain a public log of known accessibility issues. Transparency about current limitations is more useful than silence. Each issue includes a workaround.

Some content and functionality is provided by third-party services. We do not control the accessibility of these external components, but we select partners who take accessibility seriously.
- Google Fonts (DM Sans): Font loading does not affect screen reader or keyboard accessibility. Users can override fonts via browser settings.
- Font Awesome icons: Decorative icons are marked aria-hidden="true". Icons that carry meaning include descriptive ARIA labels.
- Chart.js visualisations: Charts on review pages include text-based data tables as alternatives. We are adding aria-label descriptions to all chart canvases.
- External affiliate links: When you follow a link to a merchant's website, that site's accessibility is outside our control. We recommend checking the merchant's own accessibility statement.
